Man Tries to Steal from Flipped Car, Police Say

A man attempted to steal from another man after he flipped his vehicle while trying to be a good Samaritan, police said.

On April 28, at approximately 7:10 a.m., a man was driving in the 6200 block of Henry Avenue when he noticed there was a disabled vehicle on the side of the road, police said.

The driver attempted to pull over to assist the disabled vehicle when a third car struck the driver’s vehicle, police said. 

The driver’s vehicle flipped in the accident, police said.

After the accident, the driver observed a man attempting to steal gun ammunition, air fresheners and vitamins from his flipped car, police said.

A police officer on the scene arrested the thief, and the items were returned.
