Man Uses Slingshot to Break into Store

Police are seeking help from the community to help identify a man they believe used a slingshot to break into Palm Tree Market on Cresson Street on Dec. 11.

Surveillance footage shows a white male, thin build, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans with a thick black belt attempting to break the glass door of the market with a slingshot for approximately 45 minutes.

The man eventually gains access to the store at around 4:56 a.m., and police said that he stole $120 in loose change and a box of Dutch Masters cigars.
