Manayunk Avenue Resurfacing Postponed One Week

A milling and repaving project for Manayunk Avenue has been rescheduled to start on April 13.

This week’s rainy weather forecast has prompted the Philadelphia Streets Department to reschedule the start of a resurfacing project for Manayunk Avenue from Ridge to Roxborough avenues.

The project, originally slated to begin April 6, has been moved to April 13. The resurfacing effort will be completed in three separate phases – milling, adjusting of manhole covers and resetting of utility boxes, and final paving – which will take place in separate activities over the course of the following two weeks.

Operations for the milling work will be performed during the overnight hours of April 13 and 14 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Temporary full street closures and parking restrictions are expected during evening hours.
