Manayunk Bar Listed As 'Commanders Rally Bar,' For Some Reason

The bar's owner rebuked his establishment being named a Commander-friendly bar, and said if you're a Washington fan, don't bother coming.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — There are no fans in the world like Philly sports fans, let alone Eagles fans.

So it's no surprise a team such as the Washington Commanders (which should have stayed "Washington Football Team") need to offer up a list of safe spaces for their fans across the country, if they even exist in those numbers.

The team's website features a list of bars and restaurants in the country they deemed "Commanders Rally Bars."

Among them, strangely, is a Manayunk bar that is all in for the Eagles.

The Bayou Bar and Grill, 4245 Main St., was listed by the Commanders.

"Our network of bars across the country provides fans like you with a fun and welcoming environment to catch the big game," the Commanders website reads.

Well... Owner Joe Abruzzo had some strong words for Commanders fans, according to Action News.

"No Commanders fans are even allowed in," he told the outlet. "As a matter of fact, don't come by. You're not allowed in."

Take one quick look at The Bayou Bar and Grill's social media, and you'll quickly see the Main Street watering hole is all in for the Birds.

"We, like, bleed green here," he told Action News.

It's unclear how The Bayou Bar and Grill ended up on the Commanders website of fan-friendly bars, but the webpage does feature an option to submit a bar to the list.

The inclusion of The Bayou Bar and Grill could be a feeble attempt by Washington fans to rile Eagles fans, a feat not easily accomplished.
