Manayunk Restaurant Week Returning After 5-Year Hiatus

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Manayunk Restaurant Week is back this year after a five-year hiatus.

The week-long celebration of Manayunk's dining scene will run from Sept. 8 through Sept. 14 at 20 local restaurants.

Participating restaurants will offer two and three course prix fixe menus, with options for lunch and dinner, for $15, $25, $35 and $45 at each location.

Eateries participating include Bar Jawn, Bayou, Blondie, Cactus Restaurant & Bar, Chabaa Thai Bistro/Yanako, Jakes & Coopers, Lucky's Last Chance, Manayunk Brew Pub, JD McGillicuddy’s Manayunk, Mia Ragazza, New Leaf, PHS Pop Up Garden, Somo Manayunk, Taqueria Amor, The Brass Tap, The Couch Tomato, The Goat's Beard, The Rook, Tubby Robot Ice Cream Factory and Zestys.

Diners will find featured and special cocktails, beers and other beverages at select locations, as well as the meal deals.

"Manayunk’s Restaurant Week is a celebration of Manayunk’s thriving dining scene. It’s the perfect time to try new flavors, support local chefs, and experience the heart of our community," Manayunk Development Corporation Executive Director Gwen McCauley said. "What a great way to return from summer and head into fall with one of our tastiest weeks of the year."

"Manayunk restaurants have come together so we could market to all of our guests as a collective, and what better way to showcase all of the different restaurants here in Manayunk than restaurant week,” Voracious Hospitality Group Director of Operations Brendan McGrew said. Voracious operated The Goats Beard & Mia Ragazza. "This way, each restaurant can do what they do best at its price point, without having to necessarily compete with others. Since we are all offering great deals, guests can pick and choose what they like best. Rather than each of us fighting for a bigger piece of the pie, we are all working together to make the pie bigger. We have found that there is definite strength in numbers; working together enhances the entire Manayunk community."
