Manayunk Street Closures For The Philadelphia Marathon

On Saturday and Sunday, tens of thousands of runners will take to the streets of Philadelphia in one of the area's most epic and iconic road racing events: the Philadelphia Marathon.

On Saturday is the half marathon and the Rothman 8k, which both start and finish at the Art Museum. Neither race course enters Manayunk, although nearby, Martin Luther King Drive will be shut down.

On Sunday, both Martin Luther King Drive and Kelly Drive will be shut down for the full marathon. Main Street will closed from it's start on the city side of Manayunk, at Ridge Avenue, all the way to Green Lane. The marathon course itself runs to near Connaroe Street before turning around.

Street closures through the rest of the city will follow the Philadelphia Marathon course, as laid out here:

The marathon begins at 7 a.m. on Sunday. The half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rothman 8k starts at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, after the half.
