SEPTA's Mayaunk/Norristown Line Resumes Service After Ida

Damage from Hurricane Ida's remnants partially suspended service along SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown line.

PHILADELPHIA — After more than a week, partial service along the Manayunk/Norristown SEPTA line has been restored.

SEPTA Sunday said train service has resumed to Elm Street.

The line had been closed from Spring Mill State to Center City due to extensive damage from floodwaters that came from Hurricane Ida's remnants.

Service at stations between Spring Mill and Elm Street remains suspended.

NBC10 reports SEPTA expects full repairs to take as long as eight weeks.

The Schuylkill River flooded to historic heights near Norristown, and floodwaters swept up along riverside communities all along the SEPTA line. Conshohocken, Manayunk, Bridgeport, Norristown and elsewhere all saw extensive flooding which blocked or damaged tracks.
