Philadelphia Christmas Tree Recycling Begins Monday
Philadelphia will begin collecting Christmas trees for recycling on Jan. 6.

The Philadelphia Streets Department will begin collecting Christmas trees for recycling on Monday, Jan. 6.
Residents can take their tree to one of three city locations for recycling.
Those locations are: Domino Lane and Umbria Street, 3033 S. 63rd St. and State Road & Ashburner Street.
The program will last until Saturday, Jan. 18, and the drop off locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Trees brought to the site to be recycled should be free of all decorations and untied. Christmas trees with decorations cannot be recycled and will be placed with rubbish. Trees should not be brought to the site in plastic bags.
