Roxborough Ball Field Dedication Moved To Sunday
Daisy Field in Wissahickon Valley Park will be dedicated to Phillies chairman and co-owner David Montgomery on Sunday due to bad weather.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – Inclement weather forced the city to reschedule the dedication of a Roxborough field from Saturday to Sunday.
Daisy Field in Wissahickon Valley Park will be renamed David P. Montgomery Field at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Montgomery is a Roxborough native, Philadelphia Phillies co-owner and chairman and former president.

Montgomery, Mayor Jim Kenney, the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies alumni players, Phillies announcer Dan Baker, former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, local youth baseball and softball teams, and more will be in attendance at the event.
Montgomery, 71, joined the Phils in 1971 on the sales team and just 10 years later was part of a $30 million purchase deal for the team where he became a co owner.

He then was named the club president, making him the first Philly native to helm the team.
Daisy Field is located off 795 E. Hermit Lane in Roxborough.
