Tag Denim in Manayunk Closes
The Main Street jeans store announced it would close after 12 years in business.

Tag Denim in Manayunk announced that it would be closing in an open letter to customers on Facebook Christmas Day.
The full letter is below:
"It is with a very heavy heart that we must announce the bittersweet ending for Tag Denim in Manayunk. The past 12 years have been full of not only so many memories but full of so many amazing people! From our clients, to our employees, from our vendors and sales reps, to our landlord and neighbors on Main Street, you have all played a vital roll not only in our success, which has made Tag what it has become today, but it has also helped cement the legacy we will leave behind. Whether it has been winning “Best Jeans” for both Philly and the Main Line several times over, and being known as a leader for denim within Philadelphia, we couldn’t have done any of that without the full support of all of you.
To our clients: you have shopped with us when you needed that perfect pair of jeans, a special outfit, or have just come to hang out, and you are the reason we loved having our doors open every single day to serve you. We must thank you for shopping with us over the years and being like family, especially when 3 generations of actual families would come in to be fit for jeans. We love you all so very much!
Next to our employees: we have always said that our employees are like family and that couldn’t be more the truth. Even when employees moved on to other ventures, there was never a time that you all didn’t come back to visit and to stay apart of our large extended family, for being apart of why we are great, we thank you!
Next to our vendors and sales reps: thank you for enabling Tag to not only have the best lines of premium denim, selection, and exclusivity but also for making sure we were dressing our clients in their most favorite outfits and jeans. While we would often insist that we couldn’t make it to NYC for a showroom appointment, you wouldn’t let that discourage you, as you would make the road trip to show us the latest products, come for a laugh, and get to know us on a personal level, for that we thank you!
Finally to not only our landlord but to our other neighbors and businesses on Main Street: you have all been such a pleasure to work with over the years as we have all shared in the changes that Manayunk has experienced. We wish you all nothing but success as we leave our home at 4358. We will sure miss all of you as we walk to work each morning."
While we don’t want to say goodbye, we will just say: see you later. 2014 will have many new and exciting changes, and while we cannot call Manayunk our home anymore, you haven’t seen the last of us! We extend the warmest of holiday wishes and a happy new year from our family to yours. Please be sure to stop by and visit us before December 31 when we close our doors for the very last time.
