Safe Stolen From Couch Tomato Bistro, Police Say
Two robbers made off with cash and the safe in an early Monday morning incident.

Philadelphia police are seeking information about two robbers who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from The Couch Tomato Bistro in Manayunk early Monday morning.
Security cameras caught two unidentified males breaking into the Wash and Dry Laundromat located at 6182 Ridge Ave. Monday at approximately 4 a.m., police say.
The two men were scared off by an audible alarm, police say, but the two men reappeared a few minutes later on security cameras near The Couch Tomato Bistro located at 102 Rector St. in Manayunk.

According to police, the men cased the bistro and then returned several minutes later with a dark SUV or van. Police say that the two men entered the bistro through the rear door.
Once inside, police say that the two men broke open the cash registers stealing the money inside the drawers.

The suspects also used a shopping cart from the store to carry out the business’ safe, police say.
The two suspects were last seen fleeing in their vehicle in an unknown direction on Main Street at 4:50 a.m., Monday morning.

Description:
Alleged robber No. 1: White male, 30-40 years-of-age, stocky build, wearing a blue baseball cap, blue and gray zip up jacket, blue jeans and black and white sneakers. This suspect also has an unknown tattoo on the back of his neck just at the hair line.
Alleged robber No. 2: White male, 20 years-of-age, thin build, unshaven with goatee, blue baseball cap, blue zip up hooded jacket, dark pants and black sneakers. This suspect also walks with a hitch in his step.
Vehicle Description: Late model possible Dodge custom conversion van.
Police say if you see either of these men that you should call 911 immediately and not approach them.
