Thousands Take To Manayunk StrEAT Festival

The annual kick-off to Restaurant Week attracted hungry visitors from the Philadelphia region.

Clear skies and streets lined with specialty food trucks proved to irresistible for thousands of hungry visitors to Manayunk’s annual StrEAT Festival Sunday afternoon.

More than 50 food trucks lined Main Street Manayunk, offering menus stuffed with unique sandwich creations and occasional healthy choices, according to CBS Philly.

Philly.com reports that more than 40,000 people feasted on Sunday, shattering previous years’ totals. The event serves as an appetizer for Manayunk’s annual Restaurant Week, which runs through April 24.

Participating locations will serve three course meals, which will be offered at $15, $25, and $35 price ranges.
