Wife Killed Husband In Roxborough Last Week: Philadelphia Police

Philadelphia Police said Danielle Baxter's husband, 38-year-old Jordan Baxter, was found dead on a plastic sheet in Roxborough last week.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — A woman has been charged with her husband's murder after he was found shot to death on a plastic sheet between two parked cars earlier this month in Roxborough, Philadelphia Police said.

Danielle Baxter, 39, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with murder, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and related crimes, police said.

According to police, officers were called to 800 Bells Mill Road at about 6:58 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a person screaming.

There, they found a man lying on a plastic sheet between two parked cars. He was pronounced dead at 7:07 a.m.

Action News reports he had a gunshot wound to the back of his head, and blood was found on a mattress in the house.

Authorities later identified the man as Jordan Baxter, 38, who lived on the same block of Bells Mill Road.

An investigation led by the Homicide Unit resulted in authorities filing the charges against Danielle Baxter.

She is being held without bail and is scheduled for an April 7 preliminary hearing, according to court documents.
