Moviegoer's Debit Card Stolen During Film, Police Say

A debit card is stolen from a woman's purse at a movie theater.

Theft: On March 16, at approximately 1:20 p.m., police received a report of a theft at the United Artist Movie Theatre located at 3720 Main St.  According to police, a debit card was taken from a woman’s purse while she was watching a movie.  Police say that the cards have since been used to make more than $3,000 in purchases.

Theft: On March 16, at approximately 11 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 7200 block of Valley Avenue.  According to police, a watch and $300 cash were taken from a dresser drawer in a second-floor bedroom of a residence.  Police say that there was no sign of forced entry.
