Officers report the 75-year-old Rome man resisted arrest and allegedly assaulted employees before being taken into custody and processed at Sayre Borough Police Department.
   

• Guthrie Turkey Trot 2025 surpasses 2024 donations for Guthrie Cancer Care Fund (wbng.com) — Sayre residents packed the streets on Thanksgiving morning as more than 1,220 runners and walkers helped the Guthrie Sayre Turkey Trot raise over $70,000 for the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund, topping last year’s total. The race supports local cancer patients with help for transportation, medications, and household bills, and organizers say registration for the 20th annual Turkey Trot opens January 1, 2026.
