Elderly Driver Crashes Vehicle into DSW Shoes in Robinson

A motorist drove into the DSW Shoes store in Robinson Sunday after police said an elderly woman hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The woman crashed about 30 feet inside the building at 2100 Park Manor Boulevard, between IKEA and PNC Bank. 

Police said the driver, who was not named, did not require medical attention.

KDKA reports that a mother and son were injured and treated at the hospital.
 
The car was towed and the store closed temporarily. Customers continued to stop by Sunday afternoon, surprised to find the shoe store damaged.

Police said officers were called shortly before 3:30 p.m. to respond. Firefighters assisted at the scene.
