Get Out: The Father's Day Edition

Sewickley Garden Tour

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15 starting at the gazebo in Wolcott Park. 

Why Go: Take dad on a self-guided tour of six nicely landscaped gardens in Sewickley and Edgeworth.  

Admission: $25 per person.

When/Where: noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Moon Park. 

Why Go: Father's Day is a perfect time to spend a day with your kids at the park.

Admission: Free. 

Tween Chef: Dinner with Dad

When/Where: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Market District in Robinson. 

Why Go: Grab dad and treat him to a delicious dinner. This special event will include a shrimp and scallop appetizer, twice-baked potatoes, grilled veggies and a cowboy steak. Work together to create your meal then sit down and enjoy with Dad.

Admission: $65. For ages 9 to 12. Maximum of six couples per class. 

Three Rivers Arts Festival

When/Where: noon to 8 p.m. daily through Sunday, June 16 in Downtown Pittsburgh in Point State Park, Gateway Center and the Cultural District.

Why Go: Try your hand at art, watch artists in action or listen to music. There's plenty happening for everyone at the annual festival, including dad.

Admission: Free.

Annual Juneteenth Celebration

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at the Sewickley Community Center. 

Why Go: Take a free swim with dad, enjoy a meaningful discussion, and don't miss special appearances from Abe Lincoln and the United States Colored Troops.

Admission: Free.

Second Annual Father's Day Car Cruise

When/Where: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater.

Why Go: Let Dad reminisce while D.J. Phil Lenz spins the oldies, and Mike Frazer from  broadcasts from 2 to 4 p.m.3WS

Admission: Free. No pre-registration needed.
