• Sewickley officials maintain real estate tax rate in 2026 budget (triblive.com) — Sewickley Borough will keep real estate taxes flat in 2026, holding the millage at 6.25 while funding about $11.2 million in services. The budget backs major paving, sewer repairs, War Memorial Park upgrades, and a $2 million wastewater plant overhaul serving Sewickley and nearby boroughs. Council also honored outgoing member Todd Renner as new members prepare to be sworn in January 5. 
• Paula Sculley's legacy lives on through generous gift to Fern Hollow Nature Center (triblive.com) — Fern Hollow Nature Center in Sewickley Heights is moving ahead with major upgrades thanks to a $500,000 gift honoring founder Paula Sculley, plus an $84,000 state grant. The capital campaign has now raised $1.8 million toward a $2.5 million goal for new classrooms, a meeting room, and green features, with construction expected to start in early 2026.
