QV Royalty: Candidates for Prom King and Queen Announced

One of these ladies and one of the gentlemen will be crowned Quaker Valley High School's prom queen and king.

Quaker Valley High School has announced the 2013 prom court.

Candidates for prom queen are four seniors Morgan Felt, Courtney Kroner, Sierra Perlik and Rachel Silverstein.

The 11 seniors competing for the title of Mr. QV are: Levi Bowers, Rocco Brown, Ryan Garbee, Roy Hadfield, Andy House, Jack McGarry, Burke Moser, Dante Piccolo, Jake Pilewicz, Johnathan Roppo and Stephen Wei.

The annual Mr. QV pageant begins at 7 p.m. Friday, May 10 in the high school auditorium.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Sponsored by the National Honor Society, proceeds will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

The grand march promenade begins at 5:15 p.m. the following Friday, May 17 in the high school auditorium. That's where the prom queen will be announced. Students voted for prom queen on April 24, but the results won't be announced until then.

Prom begins at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Coraopolis.

The theme for this year’s event is “A Night in Versailles.”
