Obituary: Janice D. Schweikert

Janice D. Schweikert, 57, of Whitehall, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC with her fiancé Joseph E. Simko by her side.

She was the daughter of the late Dorothy (DaShields) Babchalk.Before retiring this past October, she worked in the accounting department for Kelly Mgt., Emmaus. She was a graduate of Cedar Crest College, where she received her Business Administration degree. Janice was active with bowling, golfing, and recently walking the beaches of Oak Island, NC, where she and Joe just purchased their retirement home. Gardening was also an enjoyment for her.

Survivors: Son, Michael C., and her fiancé Joseph E. Simko, both with whom she resided.

Services: Calling period, 6  to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Services will be private. 

Contributions can be made in memory of Janice to Peaceable Kingdom, an animal rescue organization she strongly supported because of her love of animals, c/o the funeral home. Born in Dallas, PA.
