Parkland Library to Hold Young Adult Book Discussion

Here's what's happening Tuesday in and around South Whitehall Township.

• Parkland Community Library Teens (grades 7 through 12) can have a say in the library's purchase of young adults books. Teens are encouraged to attend a meeting from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the library to discuss what books the library should buy and talk about what books they're reading. Help plan activities and program, meets new people and enjoy some snacks.

• Orefield Elementary School PTO meets at 9 a.m. at the school.

• Kernsville Elementary School PTO meets at 7 p.m. at the school.

• Kernsville Elementary School will hold a town hall meeting from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

• Parkway Manor Elementary School students will have their hearing tested Tuesday.

• The Parkland High School girls and boys cross country teams will host Emmaus, Central Catholic and Whitehall. The boys meet starts at 4 p.m. with the girls running at 4:30 p.m.

• The Parkland High School boys soccer team will host Easton in an evening Lehigh Valley Conference game. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

• The Parkland High School girls volleyball team hosts Allen in an evening Lehigh Valley Conference match that begins at 7 p.m.
