Robert E. Moyer: 'He Made Friends Wherever He Went' [Obituary]

Robert E. Moyer III, 71, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013.  He was the husband of Marcia (Clauser) Moyer. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary last May.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Anna (Rabenold) and Robert E. Moyer, Jr. He was a partner in Throw and Grow Seed Company from 1965 until the mid-seventies, located in Trexlertown. Later, Bob was a real estate and sales consultant in the Allentown area for many years.  He had an extensive knowledge of Corvettes and antiques, and was known to frequent many of the diners in the area, making friends wherever he went.

Survivors: wife; son Robert E. IV of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Heather Moyer Albright and her husband David of Hanover, PA; two grandsons, Zachary and Carson; and sister Mary Ann Newhard of Allentown. 

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 2510 Livingston St., Allentown, 18104.  A calling hour will begin at 9:30 am in the church until the time of the service.  Inurnment will follow in Evangelical Cemetery, Allentown.  Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
