When is The First Day of School in South Whitehall?

Parents should know about these key back-to-school dates coming up in the Parkland School District.

The back-to-school ads started weeks ago during the dog days of summer, but now Parkland's new school year is just around the corner.

Here are some important dates to know in Parkland School District's 2013-14 calendar.

  • First Day of School: Tuesday, Sept. 3
  • First Day of Fall Sports Practice: Monday, Aug. 12
  • Kindergarten Orientation Sessions: Wednesday, Aug. 28 and Thursday, Aug. 29.
Middle and elementary school orientation sessions take place throughout the last two weeks of August. To view the school calendar, click here.

  • First Day of School: Monday, Aug. 26
