Parents in the Springfield School District can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Springfield area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Springfield School District.
The first day of school for students is Tuesday, Aug. 30, which is a half day.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:
- First Day: Tuesday, Aug. 30 (half day).
- Thanksgiving Break: Wednesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 25.
- Winter Break: Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
- Spring Break: Monday, April 3, 2023, through Friday, April 7, 2023.
- Last Day: Wednesday, June 14, 2023 (half day).
