Blackthorn Concert To Raise Money for O’Hara Stadium
An Irish band with local roots will be playing.

Organizers are hoping Cardinal O’Hara cafeteria will be packed on Friday.
Blackthorn, a local Irish band, will be playing for a fundraiser benefiting O'Hara's new multi-purpose stadium.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. (Click here to buy tickets online.) The concert will be rocking from 7 to 11 p.m. in the school cafeteria, according to the event posted on Facebook.

The event is a “Beef & Beer” with bottled beer and mixers included, according to the Philly magazine online calendar.
If you’re not familiar with Blackthorn, the band is celebrating 20 years of playing on the Philadelphia music scene, according to its website. Band members Mike Boyce and Rob Dunleavy have Delaware County roots. The band has recorded five albums.
