Burglary, Thefts, PFA Violation, More: Springfield Crime Blotter

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 23 and Oct. 29.

Oct. 23 at 2:04 p.m.
Officers responded to the business area at 130 S. State Road to investigate a burglary. It was found that several businesses inside the building were attempted, and one was entered. An unknown amount of cash was stolen. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.

Oct. 24 at 2:09 p.m.
Officers were called to CVS, 700 block of South Chester Road, for a report that a male subject had stolen body deodorant and walked out. About one hour later, officers responded to the CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, as the same male was finishing off his shopping by stealing body soap. Officers located the male and recovered the merchandise. A 39-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with Retail Theft. He was also found to have an active arrest warrant out of Bucks County.

Oct. 24 at 1:48 p.m.
A resident of the 400 block of Colonial Park Drive reported damage to a rear fence that appeared intentional.

Oct. 26 at 3:13 p.m.
A member of LAFitness reported items stolen from a locker. Someone had broken the lock and removed keys and cash.

Oct. 27 at 9:59 p.m.
Ahkeem Collier, 31, of Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested and charged with a Protection from Abuse violation after Officers located him at a business on the 1200 block of East Woodland Avenue. The victim had an active PFA which prohibited Collier from being at this location. He was held for arraignment.

Oct. 28 at 4:07 p.m.
A member of LAFitness reported his gym bag stolen from a locker. Clothes and keys were missing.

Oct. 29 at 5:32 p.m.
A member of LAFitness reported his gym bag was stolen from a locker. Money was missing.
