Fire Scorches Porch on West Rolling Road

Firefighters responded to a residential fire Sunday afternoon that scorched the rear porch of a home on the 800 block of West Rolling Road.

Springfield Fire Company, Springfield Police, Manoa Fire Company and a Media Fire Company ambulance were all on the scene shortly after 5 p.m. The fire was placed under control by 5:30 p.m.

Neighbors said they did not see any flames, but smoke was visible at the rear of the house.
