Chuck E. Cheese's Seeks Renovation Plan OK
The Springfield Zoning Board of Adjustment is set to hear the renovation recipe for the new Chuck E. Cheese's and other Baltimore Pike projects.
Closed for renovation, Chuck E. Cheese's on Baltimore Pike looks to get township approval for part of its plans later this week.
With its 381 Baltimore Pike location already demolished, Chuck E. Cheese's is scheduled to appear before the Springfield Township Zoning Board of Adjustment Thursday at 7:30 p.m.Â
The hearing initially began July 26 and was continued to the Sept. 27 date to allow further discussion.

According to previous Patch reports, Chuck E. Cheese's presented a renovation plan to the Springfield Board of Commissioners in October 2011, calling for "a reduction in size from 28,144 square feet to 14,400 square feet and new landscaping that would includes a new 6 foot high privacy fence in the rear buffering the property from the residential neighborhood."
Springfield Commissioners Paul Wechsler, Michael Culp, and Daniel Lanciano will preside over the hearing, which takes place at the Springfield Township Building, 50 Powell Road.

Also scheduled for the Sept. 27 hearing are applications to:
- Expand the driveway at 722 Kelli Lane from permitted 18 feet to 32.6 feet;
- Widen a driveway at 81 Saxer Ave. to void the 3-foot setback requirement; and
- Allow a nonresidential use at 575 W. Springfield Road.
