We had two incidents of residents being scammed out of money by answering a random phone call from a supposed attorney who requests cash for bail for a relative arrested out of state. The callers arrange for a courier to respond and pick up the cash. Later the resident realizes the relative was never arrested. Please don’t respond to phone calls like this and investigate with family before assuming the phone call is legitimate. This is not a normal way of arranging bail money.
