Robbery, Theft, Harassment: Springfield Crime Blotter
A Glenolden man was charged with robbery after police said the threatened Macy's security employees with a knife during a theft.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — The latest Springfield crime blotters have been released.
Two weeks' worth of blotters are featured below.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 4 and July 16.

July 4 at 11:11 a.m.
A 36-year-old female from Philadelphia will be charged with Retail Theft after officers were called to CVS 300 block of Baltimore Pike to investigate the female who walked around the store eating and drinking store product and walked out without paying. The female was identified and released.

July 7 at 8:54 p.m.
Officers were called to the Stanley Kup Inn, 200 block of Baltimore Pike, for a report of a male who was intoxicated and harassing customers. The male exited the business and fell in the lot due to his intoxication. The 65-year-old man from Springfield was assisted by medical personnel and taken to a hospital. He will be charged with Public Drunkenness.
July 8 at 4:17 p.m.
A visitor visiting his family on the 800 block of Homestead Avenue reported his vehicle was scratched while it was parked along the street during his short visit. Det. McNeely is investigating.
July 8 at 5:16 p.m.
Officers were called to a SEPTA bus for a report of a disorderly subject causing a disturbance inside. It was found that a passenger caused a disturbance to the driver and threatened the driver. The 31-year-old male from Philadelphia was removed from the bus and will be charged with Disorderly Conduct.
July 9 at 11:38 a.m.
A 51-year-old male from Philadelphia was taken into custody after employees at Giant, 900 block of Baltimore Pike, reported he stole over $200 worth of meat. The male was found to have an active arrest warrant from Dauphin County and was transported to Delaware County Prison.
July 9 at 7:23 p.m.
A 31 yr. old female from Philadelphia will be charged with Harassment and Disorderly Conduct after an investigation into a road rage incident showed her to have threatened another driver while on State Road and throwing a cup full of liquid at the other vehicle.
Macy’s Springfield Mall had several shoplifting incidents during the week:
July 4
A 68-year-old female from Drexel Hill stole a $99 backpack and will be charged.
July 5
A 61-year-old male from Philadelphia stole a $40 watch. He needed medical attention due to illness and will be charged.
July 6
A 41-year-old female from Aldan stole jewelry valued at over $600 and will be charged.
July 6
A 40-year-old male from Drexel Hill stole over $300 worth of clothing and was found to have an arrest warrant from Easton. He will be charged.
July 6
A 29-year-old male from Chester stole over $300 worth of underwear and will be charged.
July 7
A 69-year-old female from Broomall stole over $270 worth of clothing and will be charged.
July 8
Two males and a female stole over $740 worth of handbags and clothing and ran from the store. One of the males punched at a security officer, and all three fled in a vehicle. Investigation continuing.
July 9
A 61-year-old female from Chester stole $870 worth of fragrance and lied about her name. She was arraigned and taken to prison.
July 11 at 2:45 p.m.
A 42-year-old male from Morton will be charged with Retail Theft after Target security at the mall watched him select over $150 worth of clothing and small electronics and undercharge himself at the self-checkout. This was at least the second time the male did this. He was taken into custody, processed, and released.
July 12 at 11:53 a.m.
Officers responded to the Macy’s store at the mall for a report that a male concealed $100 worth of clothing and left the store. Macy’s security attempted to stop the male, and the male threatened them with a knife. The merchandise was recovered, but the male fled inside a vehicle. On July 13, an arrest warrant was obtained for Michael DiGregorio 34, of Glenolden. On July 17 DiGregorio was arrested on the warrant by Clifton Heights PD. He was arraigned on Robbery and weapons charges and transported to Delaware County Prison.
July 12 at 2:18 p.m.
A resident of the unit block of Windsor Circle reported a male subject trespassed on his property. The suspect was confronted and then left the area. Det. McNeely is investigating.
July 12 at 4:09 p.m.
Giant Store employees, 900 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a male subject walked out of the store with over $75 worth of household goods in a shopping cart. When confronted, the male fled on foot on Baltimore Pike. The male was located by responding officers on the 800 block of Baltimore Pike and taken into custody. The 42-year-old male from Williamsport was processed and released, and charges for Retail Theft will be filed.
July 12 at 5:58 p.m.
A resident of the 300 block of Orchard Road reported a decorative bicycle was stolen from the rear of his property sometime between July 2 and July 12.
July 12 at 7:08 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported a male subject had stolen $275 worth of merchandise and upon being confronted began to fight with security officers. Responding police arrived and observed the suspect engaged in assaultive behavior against security officers. Henry Sharp, 48, of New Castle, Delaware, was taken into custody and held for arraignment. He was charged with Robbery and other offenses. He was later transported to Delaware County Prison.
July 16 at 3:50 p.m.
Mario Duprey, 44, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with Retail Theft after Best Buy security, 600 block of Baltimore Pike, observed him steal over $300 worth of merchandise from the store. Duprey fled to the bus stop at Saxer Avenue, where he was stopped by police. Duprey was held for arraignment and later transported to Delaware County Prison.
