Saxer Avenue Closing Through Late August In Springfield

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Springfield Road and Powell Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — A portion of Saxer Avenue in Springfield Township will be closed through August for PECO utility work, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

According to PennDOT, the road will close between Rolling and Harwicke roads from Tuesday, July 5 through Tuesday, Aug. 30.

The closure will be in place weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the 24-hour closure, Saxer Avenue motorists will be directed to use Springfield Road and Powell Road.
