Severe Thunderstorm, Flood Watch Issued For Delaware County

A strong weather system is making its way to the region, prompting the National Weather Service to issue the thunderstorm and flood watches.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Severe thunderstorm and flood watches have been issued for Delaware County.

The National Weather Service said the thunderstorm watch will be in effect through 9 p.m. Monday.

The highest threat for severe thunderstorms is 4 p.m.

According to the NWS, ping-pong ball sized hail is possible in this storm system.

Scattered wind gusts could reach up to 70 miles per hour, as well.

And frequent lightning predicted.

As for the flood watch, that will go into effect at 2 p.m. and last through midnight.
