Springfield Mall Shooting In Parking Lot Followed Argument: Cops

No injuries have been reported in the shooting that broke out Saturday afternoon in the Springfield Mall parking lot.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police say they are investigating a shooting incident that happened in the parking lot of the Springfield Mall Saturday.

Officers were called to the mall at around 1:05 p.m. In a brief update posted to Twitter, police said the shooting happened in the parking lot near Baltimore Pike between two groups that had an argument inside the mall.

No one was hurt, police said. The investigation is ongoing.

The Springfield fire chief confirmed to Fox29 that the mall is being evacuated. According to the Delco Times, the mall will remain shut down until further notice.
