Traffic Restricted On Springfield Roads Overnight This Week

Highways across Delaware County will be restricted on Monday through Friday overnight this week for crack sealing work, PennDOT said.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Several roads in Springfield Township are among numerous roads affected by overnight work this week, PennDOT said.

Work will be done from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for crack sealing operations.

Below are roads in Springfield being impacted this week:

  • Chester Road between Route 252 (Providence Road) and Baltimore Pike in Nether Providence and Springfield townships and Swarthmore Borough;
  • Rogers Lane/Wallingford Road between Turner Road and Baltimore Pike in Nether Providence and Springfield townships;
  • Bishop Avenue/Garrett Road between Springfield Road and Burnley Lane in Upper Darby and Springfield townships;
  • and
  • Route 420 (Lincoln Avenue/Kedron Avenue/Woodland Avenue) between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and Baltimore Pike in Prospect Park and Morton boroughs and Ridley and Springfield townships.

Highways across Delaware County will be restricted on Monday through Friday overnight this week for crack sealing work.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
