• State hints at accessibility upgrades for former Shikellamy park marina building (mahoningmatters.com) — Sunbury-area residents could soon see long-awaited accessibility upgrades at the former Shikellamy State Park marina building on Packer Island, including new ADA-compliant restrooms, parking, and sidewalks. State officials say the project is still in planning but should significantly improve access across the park, responding to local advocacy from the North Central Pennsylvania Sierra Club.
   

• Jury selection begins for new trial for woman accused of causing death of 13-year-old (northcentralpa.com) — Jury selection is underway in Sunbury for the retrial of a Coal Township woman charged in a 2023 head-on crash that killed a 13-year-old Selinsgrove student and injured others. The first trial ended in a hung jury, and a new trial is set for Dec. 18 in Northumberland County Court.
