• Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority to interview for new chief (citizensvoice.com) — Swoyersville homeowners and businesses along the Susquehanna levee will see no increase in their 2026 flood protection fees, which haven’t risen since 2017. The Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority is also preparing to interview candidates and possibly choose a new executive director at its Jan. 20 meeting, as longtime leader Christopher Belleman retires.
