• Tamaqua tops Tide (tnonline.com) — Tamaqua’s girls’ basketball team overpowered Pottsville 44–24, using size and rebounding to control their Schuylkill League matchup and set up a big game with Blue Mountain on Friday. Led by double-doubles from Lauren Ligenza and Millie Black, the Blue Raiders dominated the boards and stifled Pottsville’s offense from the first quarter onward.
