30-Year Tredyffrin Police Officer Dies

Services are scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. in Paoli.

Edward Hoch, a retired 30 year veteran of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department will be honored at a memorial service Thursday afternoon in Paoli.

According to an obituary posted on Legacy.com, Hoch retired from the Tredyffrin Police department in 1994 after serving the township for three decades. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who also worked as a guard at Graterford Prison before joining the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.

Hoch died last Tuesday July 31 at age 71. He is survived by his wife Norine of 34 years, who runs the Anything & Everything Shop in Berwyn. He is also survived by his children, Dawn, Edward Jr. (Kathie), Richard Hoch, and Michelle Auch; stepchildren, Edward and James Guillermin and Laurie (Edward) Holzapfel; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Errington; and many nieces and nephews.
