6-Month Gas Replacement Project Begins In Easttown Township
The public will find detours, and temporary service interruptions as crews upgrade gas infrastructure for improved safety and reliability.
EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A roughly six-month long gas main installation project is underway this week in Easttown Township, officials said.
PECO is installing a new gas main on Newtown Road weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The work will take place on Newtown Road between Sugartown to Waterloo roads.

The public should expect to find detours, and temporary service interruptions as crews upgrade the gas infrastructure for improved safety and reliability.
Drivers should allow extra travel time or consider an alternate route to avoid delays. Detours will be in place. The township urged drivers to use caution and follow posted signs.

According to the township, PECO and its contractor, Miller Bros, will notify affected properties. Some homes may require temporary gas shutoffs for connection work.
Impacted areas will be restored upon project completion.
