One Driver Charged in Swedesford Rd Accident
Firefighters race to free trapped driver after high-impact crash.
One driver has been charged with running a red light after a big crash at a busy Swedesford Road intersection.
Tredyffrin Police say the driver of a blue Honda ran the light on Swedesford Road at Drummer's Lane just after 7 p.m. Tuesday night. Police say the Honda T-boned a red Nissan Altima that was turning onto Swedesford Road.
Berwyn Fire Company first responders had to extract the male driver who was alone in the car that was hit. Police say there were two female passengers in the Honda. The names of the driver and passengers have not yet been released. Both drivers were taken to area hospitals to be checked out.

Acting Tredyffrin Police Superintendent Anthony Giaimo says the intersection has not been a high accident area in the past. Unlike some high accident rate intersections along Swedesford Road the lights at Drummer's Lane do not have strobe lights that draw drivers' eyes to red lights.
Berwyn Fire Company volunteer Luke Rafferty shot these photos on the scene and shared them with TE Patch.
