ALERT: Stay Off the Roads, Chesco Urges

County officials are urging Chester County residents to stay off the roads.

“Please stay off the roadways due to icy weather conditions,” the Chester County Department of Emergency Services said. “The roadways are extremely hazardous and there are multiple accidents throughout the area.”

Freezing Rain and Flood advisories are in place for Chester County, the National Weather Service said.

“Be prepared for slippery roads,” the NWS said, adding that areas with poor drainage may flood.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook is in place for the region.
