An Anniversary to Smile About
Local theater company marks a milestone with food and drama.
Upper Main Line theater fans have a lot smile about right here in Berwyn.
Footlighters theater company is celebrating its 85th Anniverary Season this fall.
Director Sarah Sperling, members of the board and theater-lovers celebrated opening night last Friday with a special reception on the lawn of the theater which is housed in a converted church across the street from St. Monica Parish on Main Avenue in Berwyn.
Sperling is the director of Footlighters' season-opening play Rabbit Hole. The play looks at the ups, downs,laughs and tears of a family dealing with a crisis in many different ways. Rabbit Hole is being staged Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.and Sunday at 2 p.m..
Next Thursday night's (September 12) performance will feature a complimentary dessert reception at intermission. Desserts play an important role in the play and audience members will get to sample free desserts during the intermission.
