Berwyn Business Remembers Friends from 9/11

Free class giveaway today pays tribute to friends of a TE businesswoman who is a transplanted New Yorker.

Erin Cook is lucky and grateful to have left her apartment in the shadows of the World Trade Center when she did  on the morning of September 11, 2001.

Cook, who owns in Berwyn, says she left her apartment in SoHo around six in the morning to take a train to a business meeting in Connecticut. It would be four days before she was able to get back into the city and return home to her dust and debris covered neighborhood.

At least she was able to eventually return home.

Now, eleven years later, Cook is paying tribute and remembering those who perished on 9/11 by offering free Yoga classes at her studio in Berwyn's Bronze Building.

"All of the classes are free (Tuesday)," Cook explains. "People can donate to the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund" if they care to.

Cook says she is inspired to help honor the memory Chris Clark who died in the World Trade Center. His sister is a client at Bikram Yoga Main Line. Cook says it's important than those left behind know that their loved ones will never be forgotten.

Classes are offered throughout the day on 9/11 at Bikram Yoga. Classes are at 5:30 a.m., 7:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12 noon, 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
