Bomb Scare Forces Store Evacuation in Paoli

It's the latest in a number of drug store bomb threats in the Philadelphia region in recent months.

A phoned-in bomb threat forced the evacuation of the Walgreen's Pharmacy at Lancaster Avenue and Route 252 in Paoli Saturday, Tredyffrin Police say.  The call came in just after 12:45 p.m..  By the time police arrived everyone in the store had been evacuated according to Police.

Police say "store employees related that they received a phone call from an unknown (man)who stated that they put a bomb in the store. The employee then hung up and called police."

K-9 Units searched the building and surrounding area and found nothing suspicious.

This is just the latest in a recent rash of bomb threats at Philadelphia-area drug stores. Police have not said whether this incident is related to any of the others.  The most recent bomb scare prior to this one was at the CVS in Wayne last Thursday.  That report led to a search by bombing sniffing dogs that also turned up nothing suspicious.
