Boston Market Didn't Leave Paoli By Choice, Chain Says

The restaurant closed abruptly in late February, leaving patrons wondering why.

The Boston Market at the intersection of Routes 30 and 252 in Paoli closed without warning at the end of February. But the closure was not the restaurant's choice.

A representative at Colorado-based Boston Market wrote the following in an email:

[T]he lease was terminated by the leaser, not by Boston Market. I did not receive any updates on the scouting of a new location in your area.

The company would not rule in or out the possibility of replacing the displaced restaurant with another one in the area. But the fact that the Paoli location was not closed for issues relating to its profitability or performance bodes well for diners hoping the restaurant will return to the neighborhood.
