Several Patch readers have sent emails over the past week asking if the Bridge Street bridge sidewalk is back open.
Yes, it is back open after structural concerns forced a temporary closure of the sidewalk over the summer.
The steel beam under the sidewalk has been brought up to snuff and the bridge is once again open to pedestrians.
The roadway was never considered in danger and remained open during sidewalk closure.
The sidewalk is main route to and from school every day for hundreds of students who cross over the bridge to walk to/from TE Middle School and Conestoga High School from Berwyn Village.
