Chemical Firm Donates 40,000 Pounds of Product to Battle Ebola in Africa
The CEO of the Berwyn-based Pangaea Antimicrobials traveled to Liberia to train hospital staff on the use of HygieneMax.

The CEO of a cleaning product company headquartered in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin has traveled to Liberia with 40,000 pounds of its product to train hospital staff on its use to combat the Ebola virus.
Harold Grant, traveling with Lance Shepherdson, his chief chemist for Pangaea Antimicrobials, LLC, wrote on his Twitter page Monday that the shipment of his company’s HygieneMax had been unloaded successfully and he was on his way to Redemption Hospital in Monrovia.
Pangaea Antimicrobials has donated 40,000 pounds of its products fueled by HygieneMax to the Government of Liberia and is field testing it in conjunction with the United Nations and the Liberian Ministries of Health.
“There is a war being waged right now in Liberia, make no mistake about it,” said Grant in a statement issued before he depart for Africa on March 30. “With the cooperation of the UN and the Ministries of Health in Liberia we will be using our products to sanitize active Ebola treatment areas in Redemption Hospital.”
