Chesco County- Early Results Are In For 2022 Primary
It's a close race for the Republican seat for the 6th congressional district.

CHESTER COUNTY - Election results from around the West Chester area are starting to trickle in tonight, but will not be complete until final mail-in ballots are counted, election officials said.
The primary race for U.S. Congressional 6th District is the most heated primary race in Chester County.
The polls in Chester County closed at 8 p.m.'

Four candidates ran on the Republican ticket to run against Democrat Chrissy Houlahan of Easttown Township.
Early results with 5 of 230 precincts reporting show Houlahan with a total of 14,390 votes,
Here are the early results for the four Republican candidates competing for the 6th District in Chester County:
- Guy Chiarrochi: 1,853
- Regina Mauro: 854
- Steve Fanelli: 1,420
- Ron Vogel: 807
The district covers all of Chester County and a portion of Berks County. Polls in Berks were extended until 9 p.m., according to a court order.
There are 40,069 absentee ballots in Chester County.
Incumbent Melissa Shusterman, a Chester County Democrat, is running unopposed in the primary for state representative of the 157th District. Sarah Marvin is running in the general election on the Republican ticket.
Election service workers, meanwhile, have been counting votes all day at the Chester County Services Center.
The final results are not expected to be complete until Wednesday night at the earliest.
Voter turnout appeared to be slow and steady according to poll workers at Valley Forge Elementary School this afternoon.
In the Great Valley area, the Malvern polls were fairly busy in the late afternoon.
The judge of elections, Hugo Schmitt reported to Patch that he anticipates a much larger turnout than in 2018 for the U.S. Senate and House.
