Conestoga High School Senior Earns Merit Scholarship

Audrey E. Solomon earns a National Merit Scholarship from Vanderbilt University.

TREDYFFRIN TWP —Conestoga High School Senior Audrey E. Solomon was awarded a college-sponsored National Merit Vanderbilt University Scholarship.

Solomon plans to major in applied mathematics.

Vanderbilt University is an independent, privately supported university located in Nashville, Tenn.

It was founded in 1873 and is named after Cornelius Vanderbilt who provided funds to establish the university.

National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced over 2,600 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities.

Sponsors of the scholarships include 82 private and 73 public institutions located in 42 states and the District of Columbia.

Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists
in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution.

The awards provides between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
