Conestoga Student Fatal Crash Under Investigation

Berwyn Fire Company and Ambulance crews express condolences to the victim's family and friends.

BERWYN, PA — Berwyn Fire Company sent condolences on its website to the family and community impacted by the death of a Conestoga High School student in a car crash this weekend.

The 16-year-old male was fatally injured just before midnight Saturday in a one-vehicle crash in the 600 block of Contention Lane, Tredyffrin Township. He was the driver, police said.

Berwyn Ambulance transported the passenger, a male classmate, to Paoli Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Neither victim’s identity has been released by police or the Chester County coroner’s office, who are still investigating.

Crews with the Berwyn Fire Company were dispatched to Contention Lane for a report of an accident with a victim entrapped, according to the website.

Anyone with information regarding the events leading up to the crash is asked to contact the police traffic unit at 610-408-3667.

Otherwise, it was a busy weekend for the Berwyn Fire Company, which responded to 20 calls.
